One of the more pressing issues facing the Oil and Gas industry is how to deal with produced water. For every barrel of oil recovered, several barrels of water need to be treated and either utilized or disposed of in compliance with discharge permits. Today, NPDES and State permits are limiting concentrations of several dissolved constituents such as boron, ammonia and numerous organic compounds.
